The Vineyard
The property extends over a surface area of over 1,100 hectares of land, with around 50 hectares given over to specialised vineyards.
The predominant cultivation is that of the Sangiovese grape variety, which is the prevalent base for Chianti Classico wine. The composition of the soil, the inclination of the land, the altitude, exposure to the sun, the ventilation, the particular microclimate and the selection of the grapes are crucial factors in the achievement of the high quality of the Villa a Sesta wines.
