Located in one of the most beautiful and engaging areas of Tuscany, the Tattoni Villa a Sesta farm occupies the heart of an ancient village where beauty and excellence are at home. The setting of our days are the Sienese hills and, as a backdrop, there is the Tuscan countryside between the provinces of Siena, Arezzo and Florence.
Near Villa a Sesta you can find medieval villages, where you can lose yourself walking aimlessly or where to find the perfect place for an aperitivo at sunset. Our farm takes its name from a small local hamlet. We are in the perfect place for Chianti Classico Gallo Nero. That’s not all. Here you can also find a traditional oil mill, where you can enjoy all the essence of Tuscany itself.
Winery
The new cellar recently built with its 5,000 square meters represents the perfect fusion between innovation and tradition.
It offers technological systems and represents the most modern system of a winemaking cellar for controlled temperature fermentation.
The wine aging takes place exclusively in French oak barrels and barriques. The annual production is about 250,000 bottles.
Vineyard
The property extends over more than 1,100 hectares of land, 50 of which are specialized vineyards. The predominant cultivation is the Sangiovese grape, the main base for Chianti Classico wine.
The composition of the soil, slope, altitude, sun exposure, ventilation, particular microclimate and grape selection are fundamental elements for achieving the quality of Villa a Sesta wines.
